It's my favorite president, brother & uncle...(okay not real sure on the Uncle thing, I know we're related and all. But I don't remember how distant it is. So for now he's my uncle) Posted by Hello

GEORGE W. BUSH

Okay, so now it's my turn to show my support for Bush and to state my opinion with out arguing with anyone about it. I was reading Casey's blog today and was real impressed with the words she had to say about Bush and God's perfect plan in putting him in presidency. God was real aware of what he was doing when he allowed for Bush to win presidency, don't you think that God is powerful enough that if he wasn't suppose to be president then maybe those stupid Florida votes wouldn't have been recounted or whatever. Maybe I am just an avid supporter of Bush because he's my uncle and brother in Christ, but none the less I think Bush is amazing. He's doing a lot of things that in the long run are going to count for something. I was talking to my sister a few days ago and she was stating how he may have made a few not so good politcal decisions but on things that should matter to us believers he's made pretty good decisions about...gay marriages, abortion, etc. I fully support Bush and all the decisions he has made and will make. And I think that Bush should be president again, but ultimately God is in control and the right president will be picked for the job even if that means Kerry should be president. Sunday in church Dusty gave a sweet message about how history is God's and God will use unbelieving nations to His benefit. And so if we think about that first statement that History is God's don't you think that God kind of knows what he is doing by making Bush president? I mean I would think so b/c ultimately God is completely in control. Concerning the war, God wanted that war to occur if he didn't then he would have stopped it already. God has the power to end it, but He isn't ready to yet...he still has something to accomplish that we can't seem to understand but He's doing something far better than any of our weak little minds can imagine. One thing Dusty said was 'God is always up to something' and I think that through Bush's presidency God is accomplishing something. And ya maybe God can use Kerry, but we know for sure God can use Bush because Bush is willing to listen to God over man. And that is pretty darn important. Well there's my opinion, I've stated it...BUSH ROCKS MY SOCKS OFF!

Now for a funny to take your mind off things, its a bush/kerry video and I love it...

soapbox

so i've been thinking a lot lately. and been discussing these things with many of my friends. i've realized lately that there seems to almost be no difference between the person i meet in the church verses a person i meet anywhere else. i think i could meet someone in a bar that would be more honest with me than my own 'brothers & sisters'. i know the life the kid in the bar lives, its pretty obvious. and when i get to know that kid he tells me how he was done wrong in the church and how he knows that where he is might not be the best of places but he's honest with me about where he stands. then theres my brother who i hold in such high respect and i find out that he's no different from the guy in the bar. he acts as if he is so much better, then by word of the mouth i hear all these things about him and when i ask him about them he tells me they are true but has been hiding them from me for so long. he didn't want me to judge him or something, i dunno. i mean we all sin, it's not like one of us live this perfect life free from sin. but i think that sometimes we think that just maybe we can get people do believe we do. i love the guy that's honest about himself and where he stands, he doesn't try to hide who he really is. but then there is the person who hides from who he really is and it's sad. i'll gladly tell anyone who i really am. by no means have i got this all figured out, i am just as lost as the next person. i won't lie, i'm in the valley. i'm lost, i'm confused, i'm hurt but at least i can be true to those feelings.

take me by hawk nelson

can you hear me?
does anyone around me
feel the way that i feel now?
cause from the window where i sometimes cry
i just want to see Your face tonighht
and i'm willing to loose everything i am
cause i need you more than ever
i need your help to know where i've been going wrong so far
take me under Your wing tonight
make me so perfect in Your eyes
hold on cause it will be alright
you're not alone anymore
when you're near me i feel like i just found me
in the traces of the boy from yesterday
but in a world that is so black and white
i will take the steps to change my life
and i won't be coming back to here again
i need Your loving hand to guide me
through the maze of all the things inside me
then i'll know that i'm alright
cause i need you more than ever
i need your help to know where i've been going wrong so far
take me under Your wing tonight
make me so perfect in Your eyes
hold on cause it will be alright
you're not alone anymore
please help me get from worse to better
before these tears soak through this lonely sweater
and let me know that i'm alright
i still have one strike of this match left
and i'm holding onto my last breath
and it's getting a little dark around to see here
take me under Your wing tnight
make me so perfect in Your eyes
hold on cause it'll be alright
you're not alone

i figure it's time i do an update but not a lot is really going on in my life. i work 40-45 hours a week and if i am not at work i am either sleeping, hanging out with chase, or hanging out with some of my girls. i made it on the news two nights ago, and katie called to laugh at me. then tonight i was at work and matthew decides to make fun of me for it too. my answers to the questions were kind of corny, but the questions they ask just suck. so i am a lubbock celebrity, i made abc news and i am in a commercial what more can i do to make myself famous? unfortunately i can't be quoted in the paper because me & katie are friends, thats stupid. i think i should be quoted anyway. maybe i should run for miss lubbock, surely i could win. haha, who am i kidding?

last night i went to watch chase play softball. during the second game amanda & missy came out and we were having a good time laughing and talking. we're not really paying that much attention then suddenly we hear "BALL, BALL, BALL, WATCH OUT!" i look up and the ball is coming right at me, no lie. but instead of trying to move i lean in towards amanda and megan leans the other way and it zips right between us. i could have been pegged pretty hard. too bad i didn't even try to move really. and then it almost happened again, but people didn't really warn us the second time.

Tonight was pretty amazing, it could have been a little more enjoyable had someone been there. We went to my aunt & uncles to grill hot dogs and they were yummy. After dinner I headed outside to sit and enjoy the weather...it felt great to me. I just sat there in amazement of how good it felt. Eventually my family all joined me and that made it even more enjoyable. I love the way summer nights in Lubbock feel, I love sitting out and watching nature play its role. I can't help but sit outside and be thankful for all that God created out there for me to enjoy. We sat outside for a good long while, played with the dog a lot and that's pretty much what entertained us the entire time we were out there. Finally the sun started to go down so the fireworks we'd been hearing for hours started being visible and I loved it. My favorite ones are the white ones that kind of just trickle down after a bright flash and this house did a few of those. I love fireworks! Then on top of the fact that there were amazing fireworks the air started getting cooler and we look up to see a thunderstorm rolling in, yay a storm to watch! So tonight was incredible and I got to truly enjoy nature. Today at lunch we went to the County Line and I sat at the table thinking how gorgeous it was out there. Me & my mom walked around for a little bit, I took a picture of a peacock with my camera phone. Then we went in and ate, after dinner we had some bread left so me, my aunt & cousin went out to feed the duckies. We went and fed these little baby ones and I was just in love with them, they were so cute. There are some truly beautiful things in this world, today was a good nature day for me and I really enjoyed seeing everything that I did. God has been so good to me this week, I stand in awe of Him. AMAZING!

Can't think of anything to post about...any suggestions?

Thursday, June 24, 2004

So I watched 50 First Dates last night and now I wonder...

would you still love me if you knew that tomorrow i would have no idea who you were? if tomorrow you had to teach me to love you again...would you still love me if we really couldn't create memories together, if everyday you had to tell me what we had done the day before.

man i watch that movie and it makes me think of old couples in which one of them gets alzheimer's and the other sticks beside them and does not ever leave them, just loves them in the moment even though their spouse may wonder who in the world they are. now that's love...to love when the other doesn't even know who you are.

i collect those love is cartoons by Kim Casali and today i think maybe love is...loving them when they forget you.

Sunday, June 20, 2004

So I haven't really had time to post because I've been working insane hours at work. I open & close and during the day I nromally try to go to the pool so really I am not home but for 30min. to shower and turn around to leave again. The other night I stayed at work till 5:30am making cakes because we had tons of orders put in for Father's Day, it was crazy! It was just me & Oscar and we listened to his music, we had fun but when it was all said and done with we were beyond exhausted. So last night I closed the store yet again and I worked with this guy Bob. He told me to sleep in today and when I said that I wouldn't miss church he was just in awe...he didn't understand how I could love church so much. I told him he should go with me, but he said the only getting him into a church is lots of food. I think I recall someones testimony as they went to a youth event because there was free food then they started going after that and well today I believe they are a pastor or something to that nature. So if I could just get good ole Bob in the doors maybe some miraculous could happen. My eyes have been opened a lot now that I am getting to know Bob pretty well. Although I am not at a camp, or doing missions in Cali this summer I am pretty sure I have a purpose at work. Pray for me & Sarah, pray that we could be vessels in our workplace. I've been getting to know a lot of people at work really well and one of the high school girls really looks up to me and I take her out all the time. Sometimes I think I am not doing missions this summer liek everyone else, I am just working and being useless...but then you have to realize that sometimes the place where you are needs just as much help. And if you ask me looking around this town it could use a lot of help. Comment and tell me what God's been showing you wherever you are this summer: Cali, Chicago, Lubbock, or a camp. I wanna hear it all!

Tuesday, June 15, 2004

So it's 5am and I am just getting home from a fun filled night. I first went out to chill with Kylee at Daybreak and go over the book we are reading this summer. Then I took Sarah dinner and as I was leaving Oscar told me to come over so we could go to dinner not that I was hungry. So I get over to his house and we decide we want IHOP but we must wait for Sarah & Linda to get off so we go back to Coldstone so Oscar can get ice cream to hold him over. Our boss is there and talks to us about all sorts of stuff then we get some ice cream, the store closes and we peace out. Me & Oscee just drive around eventually ending up at Wal-Mart. We're bouncing balls to each other and hoola hoopin', having a grand ole time. We buy some kites to go fly after IHOP which by the way is a surprise for Sarah. Oscee gets Batman, Superman & some other dude, while I get Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and we buy Sarah Yugioh?!? He's a topping for our cakes at work, sounded good to us. Dinner is good and fun as always, but here comes the real fun...you ready for this?! We go to the park and assemble our kites and we fly them for awhile, eventually we end up lying on the ground staring at the stars. Man what a gorgeous night! So after kites we decide to head back up to Walmart to buy TWISTER! So we're walking around looking at all sorts of stuff. I decide I need to buy a new frisbee because my old one disappeared and then we get into some stuff. We haven't even began to do anything destructive when Mrs. Walmart starts staring at us. So I assume she thinks I wanna still something...what the crap am I gonna do with a huge frisbee & a Twister game board, seriously?! Shove it where the sun don't shine? So after she's completly stopped doing her shipment and is just completly staring at us, I decide I should ask what she wants. I am the outspoken one: "ma'am what the crap are you staring at us for?" Lady: "you can't bounce balls because one time a kid did it and knocked over a bunch of stuff" Sarah: "sorry ma'am". So where the crap is this ball we are bouncing anyway, what a Walmart Stickler. Then we go to the next aisle where the hoola hoops are, mind you we just hoola hooped two hours ago. We are doing our thing when little Mrs. Walmart says "ya'll are going to break something" Jana mumbles: get a life! Then we leave...stupid Walmart Sticklers! So we dislike the Walmart woman very much so. We leave Wally World and head to Oscee's to play Twister. Twister turned out more exciting than I expected, infact it was amazing! I won't lie some of those possessions were a little awkward, but it was fun none the less. So this week is dedicated to hopping back to my childhood memories: hoola hoop, Twister & kites. I wanted to buy a Skip-It & Carebear, but I think that might have been taking it too far. I wish I could be a kid forever, anyone else miss being a child as much as I do? I miss riding my bike around the neighborhood all the time and building forts or just hanging out in our secret clubhouse. I miss walking around in the sewers and playing with legos and teenage mutant ninja turtles. (See even my kite design brought back childhood memories) I miss not having any responsibility! Man I don't wanna grow up, I'm a Toys-R-Us kid!!!!!!

Monday, June 14, 2004

So today after church me & Sarah went and had pizza at Ashley's and after lunch we went into the garage to look at a "junk" box. While we are out there I spot three amazing hoola hoops so I grab one and have at it. Of course Ashley & Sarah grab one too, little did we know Sarah can't hoola hoop. So today we taught Sarah how to hoola hoop. Congrats on your new ability Sarah! You'd be right if that's all I have to say...

This is for you Kelsey, I found this on the back of my Kellogg's Fruit Twistables...it made me think of you! Posted by Hello

So I went to Denton for a few days for my best friend, Chelsey's wedding. Wednesday night she decided to call me at 10 to tell me that I needed to be at lunch at 12:30 the next day which meant I had to leave at 7am...SICK! So I wake up and get out of here, unfortunately my first hour of driving was in the rain and I HATE DRIVING IN THE RAIN! I made it in town just in time for the bridal lunchean and things went great. After lunch I went to Lewisville to find me a new outfit to wear to the rehersal dinner. I made it home in time for dinner so I went out with my parents then I came home and took a nap then I headed over to Chelsey's new house and we had a party over there. First we just put together the party favors for the wedding then we had fun! The guys all came over and we hung out with them, but I eventually had to go to bed because I had to wake up early Friday morning too. Friday I had my very first spa treatment and now I've been spoiled! My mom boyght me the spa treatment for my birthday and she got me the full package. So I had a facial, a full body massage, and a spa manicure & pedicure. After my treatment I went to my moms office and told my mom how smooth I felt and made her feel my baby butt smooth arms. Man I could handle that everyday, too bad that won't ever happen. Friday afternoon I napped all afternoon and woke up just in time for the rehersal. My pastor gave me greif as he always does, I love my pastor! After rehersal I took Kristen with me to the dinner, that's Chelsey's little sister. Dinner was good except our waitor sucked at getting us our drinks so I got one Dr. Pepper for the entire Wedding Party to share. After dinner we headed to Beau's parents house to finish wedding announcements. I had fun talking to Lori & Phyllis. Too bad Beau's taken because I could enjoy having Lori as my mother-n-law. After we finished the announcements we went over to Chelsey's to finish the favors. Me & Kristen got there and just sat and talked while we waited for Chelsey & Britney, we talked forever then there was a change of plans. It was after midnight so I had to go get something from Beau because Chelsey was no longer allowed to see him. Then we headed up to the church to help her parents decorate. We touched up Chelseys slide show and put out all the party favors then went home to get some rest so we weren't sleepy during the wedding. Woke up bright and early Saturday morning to get my hair done, then I went to Chelsey's to talk with her & Kristen for a bit. Then ran some stuff up to the church and helped out for a few minutes, but had to run back to the hosue to get my stuff and to eat some lunch. Back to the church at noon to get ready for pictures. I'll have to show ya'll pictures when I get them, especially now that I know how to post pictures. There was one point that we were taking pictures and I started to get teary eyed, I knew I wouldn't survive the wedding. Forgot to mention I cried in rehersal too, but that's okay because me & Lori (Beau's mom)both cried. We had a bet to see who would cry the most, she ended up winning because I was actually able to gain control over myself. So the wedding starts and I am doing fine, I make it down the isle suprisingly enough. I made sure to smile big because pictures were being taken like crazy. Then I get on stage and the flower girl & ring boy make it up then here comes Caleb, Chelsey's son. And I start crying, dang it...I was doing so good. So I get myself cleared up and then here come's the bride and I completely loose it. Don't worry I gained control again and then it was just an occasional weep. Good thing there is prayer during a wedding because it gives the bridal party a chance to wipe our noses and eyes clear. I kept trying to make Lori smile so I stopped crying and was smiling at her, but it didn't help any. Too bad my mother was balling hysterically...you would have thought it was me getting married up there. Everything went well and the wedding was over in a flash! Beau's family kept telling me that when they were looking at me and I started crying they all started to cry, my bad...I guess I have a contagious cry. Pictures finished quickly then it was reception time. I had to make my toast, I was ready for it and I figured I wouldn't get choked up which is great. Then Chelsey's dad made his little toast and he got really choked up and I lost it and new there was no way I could regain control. Beau's dad, the Best Man went and then it was my turn. So I get up there and tell everyone I thought I could make it till Doug got choked up so they would just have to forgive me. My mom said she turned her head away from me so I wouldn't see her crying because she knew it would get me. So I looked right at Chelsey & Beau as I talked to them about perseverance, me stuttering trying not to cry and Chelsey looking right at me crying...I could hardly make it. Afterwards everyone told me I made them cry again, what's this with me being able to make people cry like that?! I survived my toast, wahoo! We went outside to put Chelsey's stuff in the getaway car...which was a corvette, it was amazing!!! Russ let us shoepolish it too, so that was awesome! We didn't have much space so it just said Just Married! Congrats! And there was a heart around Beau's space. I stayed afterwards and cleaned up with Chelsey's parents. I took a lot of fruit and some cake home. Then I took fruit over to Lori's house and Beau & Chelsey were there so I stayed and hung out. Beau's grandma & Chelsey took down my hair for me. I spent all night over there. Lori adopted me, yay!! I was going to have to marry her younger son if I wanted in the family, so she adopted me instead. I stayed over there till about 10:30 then I went home to hang out with my mommy. Sunday I slept in, then went to lunch with my daddy then came home and took a nap. My mom was sick Sunday so we didn't get to hang out. So really I didn't get to see much of my mommy, but she's coming up July 4th, wahoo!!!!! So the wedding was wonderful, I love Chelsey and sharing her wedding day with her was amazing. I did a lot of reflecting on our friendship and man how I love that girl. Sometimes I wish I lived near Denton so I could see her & Caleb more. I loved being a part of her family again, I always feel so loved by her family when I am with them. And then Beau's family was so great too. It was amazing! Makes me miss my family, and when I say that I mean the entire family. The only thing that gets us all together is funerals and well I wish that wasn't what it took. Anyway, long blog but it's the only thing thats gone on in my life lately.

This is me & Sarah at IHOP!  Posted by Hello

So late night IHOP runs are always fun! I won't lie, we ate a lot of food. Our table: two large omlets, one child sized omlette, a club sandwhich and three pancake stacks. Me, Linda & Sarah can sure eat our food! So if your a IHOP person and you've been to the loop at night then you probably know Fatimah, I met her my first late night IHOP adventure. She knows how to say thank you in a 143 languages...ring a bell? She's amazing! So Fatimah is by far the best waitress ever. She said she was proud of us for eating like we did, nice! So Fatimah told us this joke, I think Sarah might have wet her pants she was laughing so hard...ready? Are you sure your ready for this?? "What happened when the indian drank too much tea? he drowned in his teepee!" Okay here's another one, that Fatimah is one funny woman. "Hey did you hear about the naked ghost? No Sheet!" Ya, that one made me laugh pretty hard. Then me & Sarah were doing Austin Powers stuff and we were doing the Macarena like Dr. Evil and Fatimah was like, "ooo i like that teach me". She's amazing, seriously! So if your feeling a late night IHOP run make sure Fatimah is there and you'll have a good time. Then again anywhere me & Sarah go we have a lot of fun! You should see the pictures we took on Linda's phone, stinkin' hysterical!!!

Which "Saved By The Bell" Character Are You?

Wednesday, May 26, 2004

So I just started this women of character study and so far I am blown away. I love that God knows exactly what you need to hear and exactly when you need to hear it. I love that you could have a devotional and you skip a week and the day you start back, it's the exact day you needed to read. God knew that you would take a week break and he knew that day 3 would be perfect for you to read although really it should be day 10. That was kind of a random side note, but I'm sure you've all noticed it too. So the first day I started my new study we studied Eve. I tend to leave Eve out when I study women of the bible because all I can think about is the pain she caused me. When I think of women to study I typically think of Ruth, Mary & Martha, Esther and of course the Proverbs 31 woman. I haven't really gone much farther than that. (Wow I am a hick) Some things I learned from the study on Eve:

1) Satan finds the one sin that get us everytime and he uses that one to keep attacking us.
2) Therefore, know when he is going to strike and be able to defend yourself.
3) Although we are happy where we are and everything is going right, Satan can convince us that there is something far better just like he did with Eve.

No my own personal comment to each of those:

1) I know for a fact that there is that one sin that is always tempting to me. I know that Satan knows that he can really get me down if he works at it. If something upsets me Satan always uses that and then I start getting other crazy ideas in my head till I just can't take it anymore. I know that when my Grandma died my life was going good, but because I was down about her death Satan decided that he could use that to really get me.
2) Watch for the signs that he will strike: depression, loneliness, etc. I just watched Final Destination 2 last week and the girls advice for ending the death list was to watch the signs. And that's exactly what we should do here: Watch the signs for when Satan will attack. If I was to know that at 6pm tonight some guy was going to try to kill me then I could figure out ways to defend myself or even avoid the attack. That's how we should be with Satan, we know that he will attack us when we get lonely so don't let him. Go to God for strength to fight him off and to be able to defend yourself when you're vulnerable.
3) Just as Adam & Eve were happy where they were, they had everything they could have needed as far as they knew. Then Satan came along and offered them wisdom and they took up the offer because it was something better. I know we all do it too. We are just fine where we are then we are offered something better and we have to have it. Cell phones are a great example, the new pictures phones were a must have...a lot of people got rid of the phone that made them happy before because something better was offered.

I just thought I would share something deep instead of just ramblings...have a good day, stand on guard.

What Video Game Character Are You? I am Mario.I am Mario.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble. What Video Game Character Are You?

So Thursday was my moms 50th Birthday and we had a surpise party that night. Me & my sister had to tell a story or say something nice to my mom so I wrote it and I figured I could read it with out crying...seriously what was I thinking?! As my mom entered the building I started to cry, yep it was then that I knew there was no way I would make it through a speech. So Sarah had to deliver our speech for us, and even she got choked up...I guess I have a way with words. Anyway, it was a tear filled night with memories gallore and of course just people saying sweet things about my mommy. I love getting to see my moms friends because they all make me feel so special.

So yesterday began my summer of weddings, it was some of my high school buddies Jane & Jeff. I've known Jane for like ever, and Jeff was one of my best friends cousins. So I knew him fairly well too. I am one of the only girls left in my graduating class from my church that isn't married or engaged. I guess I better get on it...So then we are at the reception and I am talking to my old youth minister and his wife, Kris & Amy. Amy and I are just talking and she is like well you'll get married soon and I was just like are you kidding? I always love talking to Amy, I always leave conversations with her feeling pretty good. Too bad we never get to talk anymore though. The next time I will see her will probably be at my friend, Michaela's wedding. Chelsey's wedding is in two weeks and Stephanie is aleady married. Speaking of Chelsey's wedding, I have to make a toast...I hope I can survive it. Anyone have any good ideas for a good toast?

So yesterday morning at 4am, some freshman from my old high school were out most likely drinking not for sure yet but the car had a 30 pack of beer in it. The boys were all too young to drive, they were at a light and it was green but unfortunately so was the 18-wheelers and wqhen they went to turn it wasn't possible for the truck to stop. It killed two of the boys instantly. One of the boys went to my church and the other one was the brother of a guy I graduated with. Adam is the guy I graduated with and God really put him on my heart to pray for because he just lost one of his good friends this year in a motocross accident. So pray for him if you have a chance and well of course all the families and friends of the two boys killed. Two of the boys are in critical condition and the driver has a broken arm & leg. Be in serious prayer for all of the boys because this is an insanely hard time for them all. None of their parents even knew the boys were out this late, they thought they were in bed sleeping. Kind of makes me sad, because I didn't once think about disobeying my parents but I know that kids do it all the time. I wish that some teens would just realize the consequences that sometimes come with the decisions they make. Looking at it now as a college student, things are so different. Take time to poor into a high school student if you have the chance, teach them something about life. Anyway, I've talked a lot today so I guess I will go now. This link is the article about the accident:

Okay so this week is movie madness week, me and Sarah will probably watch more movies this week then we will watch all summer...okay doubtful because we dedicated this summer to movie watching. So the first movie of the week was Keeping the Faith, it gave me a good nap but its okay because I've seen it enough to still remember it. The next movie was Troy and it was so amazing, good gravy it was good! Movie numero tres was Red Dragon...it was okay, I didn't get to watch all of it. The actor of the week is Edward Norton...just thought I would get that out there now. So fourth movie was Stuck On You and I know that most of you didn't like it, but me & Sarah thought it was really funny. My favorite part was when Bob was sick and Walt was in a bear suit, I laughed really hard. And also after they split and Bob & May were out walking and May left him and he went flying into the garden...I couldn't stop laughing. Next movie: Final Destination 2 which brought up a lot of humor today. You know how you can kill someone with a straw? Well today we were cleaning up forks and TP from the yard and Sarah kicked me in the butt and I almost fell on a fork and I was like cool "Final Destination 3". We are such dorks. And today we watched the Italian Job which was amazing!!! Sarah is what we like to call our special acrobat. And I am the brains of this operation. Rachel is our manipulator and well Lauren we still have to decide about. Then tonight we are watching Shrek 2 and we decide that Sarah is the cat, anb I am the fairy Godmother(although that kind of sucks). Shrek 2 was so stinkin' hysterical, I think I might have peed my pants. I laughed really hard, yay for the good ab workout! Wahoo! So my new friend Jib went with us, and he's great. Too bad he's about to move to Austin and so our new friendship may not continue. I hope so because he's so much fun. I guess if I ask him to make out again, then he will stay around. Ya that came from when we were at the movies and some couple decided that Shrek was so romantic that they should make out...what the crap?!? We just finished watching Sweet Home Alabama and now we're watching The Three Muskateers, or its in the background anyway. So thats my special movie review, kind of random but whatever. Watch some movies...its good for the spirit.

I forgot to write about how beautiful this world is that we live in and how I can't help but be amazed by God's hand when I look at the stars or out into the trees. THe other night we went out of Lake Alan Henry and the sun was setting and the sky was so gorgeous...it was turquoise and midnight blue, heavenly. Then as the night grew darker the stars were out shining so bright and I couldn't help but to sit there in awe of the beauty of this world. Sitting over the lake and looking out into the trees...although Lake Alan Henry is man made, God sure did make that man. It's incrediable!! And then yesterday driving from Lubbock to Denton is absolutely gorgeous despite what anyone else tells you, Sarah will agree with me. We stopped in Dickens at this place and it's utterly amazing. We went ahead and decided its a great place to propose...it's that gorgeous. So you walk down these steep stairs and you can see this beautiful natural waterfall. Then you can just look out into acres and acres of trees and hills. I saw an iguana or that's what we're gonna call that little thing anyway, it was beautiful...I took a picture. Anyway, so I just don't see how people can look at nature and not think about God at all. God created such a beautiful land. I stand in awe...

So I am at home for a week and it's been good so far, but we've just been here since last night. We stayed up kind of late considering we were going to wake up at 730 and take my mom to work so that we would have her car, but whatever. I went through some memories this morning and they weren't all bad, I always thought I hated high school so much. But I guess things weren't as bad as I thought. There were good times all the way through, I just get caught up in all the things I hated. We read my journal from second grade and we laughed really hard...man I wrote about some funny stuff. I once wrote about how gold was my favorite then a week later I hated it. Every weekend my family rode bikes and played games, funny thing is I don't remember any of that. All I remember is running around with the neighborhood kids all of the time. I know I use to ride my bike a lot, but not with my family. Who knows maybe we did, I guess I shall ask my mom. Coming home with Sarah makes home ten times better. We are gonna go see Rachel Rhea here in a little bit before she heads to camp, yeehaw! The more me & Sarah hang out the more we come to find out about each other and the more and more we are alike. Saw Troy yesterday, and it was incrediable...no lie! Ya, Brad Pitt was hot! But the movie was good with or with out hottie Brad Pitt. Sad that he had to die, but we kind of knew that was coming. I will try to update you later this week, fyi summer is going to be incrediable!!!

Decided to go for a Spiritual quiz this time...

You are Psalms
You are Psalms.

Which book of the Bible are you?
brought to you by Quizilla

Thursday, May 13, 2004

Had a managers meeting today, it turned out to be pretty fun. I love the funny Christian bible beater jokes that were pointed at me & Sarah. It's really funny to me after taking this quiz and getting these funny results: (Pesky Believer. You won't shut up about your great lord. Yes, we understand you love God. Yes, we know you go to church! I wouldn't be surprised if you could recite the whole Bible, Old Testament and New, from memory! Go preach it to the homeless!) So I took this rather entertaining quiz go to the managers meeting and Amanda (my boss) is telling everyone that we need to make sure that since it is summer she knows we will be drinking more than ususal and to make sure too not drink to much if we know we have to work the next morning then she turns and looks at me & Sarah and says "or read your bibles too much". So we are the good girls at work, so innocent and sweet. After the meeting I decide I must have off work tonight to go camping so it's a done deal...praise God!

So we are heading out to go camping and I am kind of sad because I don't get to say bye to Jeff, but whatever. So we are driving around trying to get some water & gas and we stop at this convient store. Just so happens the other day we are at the stop sign and me & sarah see the news anchor people and we start waving our hands in the background and I then realize the lady is holding a scream mask so I think to myself..."someone robbed the Kwik Stop with a Scream Mask, cool I think I might crap my pants". So this thought crosses my mind, but I never see the news so I have no idea. Well today Sarah decides to ask the clerk if they got robbed and he said yes, and so I said..."by a man in a Scream mask" and he said "yes" Holy freakin' crap...seriously, whats the world coming to? Ahhhh!

So we get to Lake Alan Henry and find all our friends, we put up some tents, and hang out around the fire for awhile. Turns out the fire must be something that practically kills me. After about an hour my eyes are burning like crap, I can no longer keep my eyes open near the fire and my nose is running a marathon. So we decide we should just go back home instead of staying the night, so we leave. We get to the top where I get service in my phone and I call Jeff to tell him I wasn't going camping after all so that I can hopefully see him. Well his phone hasn't been working so I am like "this is gay" then we are about 10min. outside of post and he calls. And this is the just of the convo...
Jeff: hey my phone works
Jana: my allergies are killing me so we're headed back to lubbock
Jeff: i left tonight because i had nothing to do
Jana: we just left, i wanna see you
Jeff: well i am heading home now instead of in the morning
Jana: what the crap?
Jeff: i just left post
Jana: we are about to enter post, turn around and meet us there
Jana: go to mickey d's so i can say goodbye to you
(phone disconnected)
(put on my radar truck vision)Jana: hey look thats a F150, it's jeff
Sarah: (honk honk)
Jana: are you kidding me? we just passed jeff and i can't even say bye
Jana: man God your real funny!
(2hrs. later)
Jeff: my phone just worked for some reason
Jana: God at least wanted me to talk to you if he wouldnt let me see you
Jana: i think we passed you
Jeff: ya you did, i saw ya'll
Jana: why didn't you turn around and come see me?
Jeff: it was too late
Jana: blah blah blah
Jeff: there are a lot of deers out, i cant talk on the phone...gotta be alert

Man God must think He is real funny? Well it's not funny, I wanted to see jeffe! What the heck? Oh well, it was rather entertaining for Sarah I am sure...

Okay so it's time for a real post, now that you all know that I am a big nerd!!! So last night I watched The Legend of Bagger Vance and it was really good. There was an amazing correlation with Will Smith and God, bet you didn't know that God was black? Makes me really wonder what God is gonna look like. Anyway so the movie was really good and spending time with Sarah was amazing, she's the best!

So everyone I know is getting married, lets just look at the list: (comments are for added couples incase I forgot someone) but seriously, weddings are in!
Lauren C. & Josh
Chelsey & Beau
Jane & Jeff
Michaela & Chris
Jen & Coby
Alison & Ben
Brooke & Brad
Lauren E. & Robby V.
Autumn & Josh
Karen & Jared
Amy & Cody
Ashley & Ben
And that doesnt even count those that are probably getting engaged really soon...crazy?

I just like what this one says about me, the ones that flatter me are my favorite unlike tha candy one...

Take the quiz: "What kind of girl are you?"

Mostly C's, You'r a Happy girl!
You are a happy girl. Not too happy that you get annoying, but happy enough that you have some friends. You like Christian music, but in your darker moods you don't mind darker music . You love to be alone at times. And you either listen to the tragic romance music, or just the rain. Usually during these times you daydream. You love daydreaming because you can do or be anything you want. Unlike life where it tells you what to be. But, despite that, you're still a happy person!

Laugh if you want, but here's another one...
Take the quiz: "What is your personal mascot?"

Parrot
Parrot
You are talkative and kind. You'd do anything for your friends and they love you for it. Congratulations on being so awsome!

Okay someone is gonna have to take the quiz for me, because I guess I can't be true to myself...I retook this quiz twice to see what was going on and I got Friend Bear. So really I am just an amazing carebear right??

Friend Bear
You are everyone's ideal friend because you are sincere and genuinely kind. Sometimes you worry about your friends' problems so much, you forget about your own responsibilities, which can get you into trouble. For you, it's the little things that really count. You also happen to be the main driver of the Cloud Car. No speeding!

So why is it that a lot of people think I don't like them? More and more I hear stories about how people didn't think I liked them when they first met me or they still think I don't like them. There are very few people in this world that I dislike, just thought you should all know. If you have a personal testimony to help me figure out what it is I do to make people think I hate them then let me know so I can do something about it.

Love-a-Lot Bear
You love to take care of others and people love being around you because you make them feel appreciated. You are very sweet and soft-spoken. You are also a romantic and consider yourself an excellent matchmaker, so you tend to be a bit nosy. But everyone still considers you the sweetest person they know.

Lauren-Girl, I love you so much! We haven't gotten to hang out a lot this year, but you are so a huge part of my life and always will be. So I am all into this movie business right now and I keep walking away with something from every movie...laugh if you must! So today I watched "Win a Date With Tad Hamilton" and it kind of had that same moral as did the one from 13 going on 30. Don't ignore what's right before you...ya Tad Hamilton was hot, but the best friend was the one that truly loved you and knew everything about you. Although something may seem right at the time, try to look past it and truly examine the picture as a whole. Second movie, "A Walk to Remember," which is just an amazing movie. A line I took away from the movie is from Jamie to Landon in her hospital bed: "Maybe God has a bigger plan for me than I had for myself. Like this journey never ends. Like you were sent to me because I'm sick. To help me through all this. You're my angel. " It made me think about my current situation in life, not that I am sick or anything. But because I am was going through some hard times and God sent specific people to me at the right time to help me get through those things. Some people in my life right now have just helped me in so many ways, they are all so incrediable. And God has a bigger plan for my life than I will ever even begin to see...and that holds true for every aspect in my life. One big one that every girl things about is that man she will one day marry. We may think we met the perfect guy, but nope he's not it...crazy how God might have something ten times better in store for us but we are so selfish and we just want what we have and we want it now. Today I read this in Stephanie Orr's profile "Maybe God wants us to meet a few wrong people before meeting the right one, so that when we finally meet the person, we will know how to be grateful."

Thursday, April 29, 2004

This weeks weekly encouragement goes out to some of my friends that I use to be really close to that I am not as close to anymore, but I still care about so much.

Jon D-Tonight I was sitting here talking to Messay about you and was so truly thankful for the friend you were to me. You use to listen to me when I needed a friend to talk to, and when I would call you crying about something you were always there for me. There were so many times that I needed you and you were there for me, you were such a good friend to me. I thank you for all the times that you stopped what you were doing to talk to me about something, it meant the world to me. You are an incrediable guy, I wish I saw you more often...I miss you Jon D!

Lexy-Girl, we use to be inseperable from March of last year on through out the summer. We had more inside jokes between the two of us then I've ever had with all my friends combined. We got to meet Freddie Prince Jr., play endless games of spoons, swallow beads, play frisbee in the Old Navy parking lot, go to Six Flags, spent days on end at the pool, worked together, spent every waking hour together, lived together for a short time...our friendship was incrediable. I miss you girl and the friendship that we shared together. Having a class with you this semester has been awesome.

And to those who have been so sweet to me this week and have just been there for me and wanted to love on me when I needed it and who have listened to me and provided counsel and scripture. All of you are so incrediable...Lauren, Chavon, Emily, Carrie & Jeff, thanks for everything!!!

13 going on 30...

So I went to see this movie today and I thought it was really good and I even got a pretty good "moral of the story" out of it. So basically this little 13 year old girls wants to be a part of the "cool" group and chooses the cool kids over her best friend who well isn't so cool. She is obsessed with Poise magazine and they shoot a short that talks about being 30. So on her birthday her amazing little best friend gives her this magic dust and she wishes to be 30. So she gets to this new life, the one she's always dreamed of. Come to find out she became a part of the "cool" group and is best friends with one of the girls still. She finds her best friend and realizes she totally dropped him for the in crowd. Basically she falls in love with her best friend and realizes the life she always dreamed of wasn't so great after all. So moral of the story is to live one day at a time and to enjoy today for what it is. Don't wish for what things could be, but just be happy in the moment. You never know what's going to come from today and things that could have been may not be so great after all. The guy you thought was so hot in high school that you always wanted to marry could be a taxi cab driver in the end. Funny thing is the hot kid she liked in junior high was ugly and fat as an adult, while her best friend was ugly and fat as a child but hot as an adult. Don't pick those you choose to associate on how they look, but on their heart for their heart is what really counts. I am a nerd because I walked away from that movie with a moral to the story, but thats okay I like being a nerd. I love you all, stay true to yourself because I love you just the way you are.

Weekly encouragement: (I am gonna start picking random people at a time to encourage every week, completely at random...it may be because you are who I am talking to when I post or because you are the first person on my buddy list or the last person that called...you just never know!)

Emily-Girl, I love you so much and the things you've done for me lately have meant more than you could ever imagine. Like the night that I was having a bad day and you changed your plans to go eat IHOP instead of McDonald's b/c Mickey D's made me sick to my tummy. And the night that you through me a suprise party at IHOP at 3am just because you knew I needed love on my bday. Or just how everytime I need to be loved I know that you love me. You are such an incrediable girl and you have such a heart for people and making them feel loved and accepted and I thank you for that!!!

Chavon-I know I've told you a thousand tiems how much I love you, but it never hurts to tell you again. Seriously God has blessed me so much by putting you in my life. Everytime I need someoen to talk to I know that you are there for me. And everytime I talk to you I walk away knowing not only your love for me but also God's love for me. It's incrediable to see God in you and to see how you pour your life into others and the ministry you are involved in. I love you so much Chavy!

Jeffe-Thanks for the incrediable birthday gift and for being such an amazing friend to me. I love that you aren't afraid to tell me like it is and you encourage me so often. I love when I get the chance to just talk to you and just see a man after God's own heart, it's incrediable. I am excited for you as you take on the responsibility of president for KYX, you are an amazing guy and I can only fathom what God can do through you.

I think there must be one of those friendship seasonal changes going on or something. I've noticed a few people talking about friendships changing and not have the same old friends and it makes me kind of sad. Ginnie's away message reads "So tonight is about now and thens.... I have been thinking a lot lately and I have so many new things... new people in my life right now.... it makes me miss old friends a lot... but here's what I have come up with... the ones I used to be close with.... things that happened before.... both have taught me to be who I am today. The "new" ones in my life right now are taking that and teaching me more. So I figure.... both it's a win/win situation. The past helps you be who you are and who you are becoming.... for that I am forever thankful for the people I have known.... with that said, goodnight!" And then a friend of mine's post was about memories and trying to mend old friendships and the other party not wanting to. What's up with these seasonal friendships? I just don't get it. And for girls I think it makes it ten times harder because we are so intimate with one another and know everything about each other. I will just look at what has gone on in college alone and I have traveled through more friendships circles then probably anyone else, everyone else seems to be hanging with the same people they hung out with their freshman year. While I change best friends every 5-6months, what the crap!?!

it makes it even harder when you can kind of see it happening before your eyes and you try to do stuff so that it won't fade, but you can just continually see the two of you drifting apart. then one day you realize that it's really no longer there. the phone calls are distant, the hang time is non-existent and things just won't really ever be the same. this summer as me and my best friend drifted a part, i told one of my friends that i could see it happening and it was sad to have to watch the drift. why can't friends really be friends forever? i have to say that chelsey is probably the closest i will have to friends forever...we've been friends since 7th grade and i mean we had our times when we didn't even talk but i dunno we're still friends infact i am her maid of honor. maybe this is one of those cases where right now we just aren't hangin' out anymore and maybe in a couple of months things will be better or even a couple of weeks or maybe not for another year or two. who knows? maybe God is up to something that i can't even imagine, but for the meantime it makes me really sad and it makes me feel really lonely.

Tuesday, April 20, 2004

i am real jealous of carrie, stephanie & mark because they are interning at the church that i visited and i loved it a lot. the people there are incrediable and if i would have decided to apply for the internship thats where i would have wanted to go. but i didn't apply because i just got a job at coldstone and i told my boss that i would be there for the summer so i felt that it would have been wrong to be like "jk i am headed to cali" plus i have two weddings this summer and it just would have been crazy. but a part of me really wishes that i would have done it anyway, but hey God can do some incrediable things in lubbock...i just know he can. last summer was incrediable and i just took summer classes and worked, so i am sure this summer will be good too. btw, i don't like capatilizing anything anymore but i do continue to capatilize God because it would just be wrong not to. well i made a post just for emily, although i really had nothing to say...i just thought about something and wrote about it, ya that's how i work it around here.

while it's still fresh and because i am kind of awake now...

so i went to bed early as ya'll read in my previous post because all my friends decided sleep was important, liars! let me just say that i went to bed not matching for the first time in forever because well i am just that fickle. so at 2:45 am, i hear screamin' and gigglin' and i turn to see some stuff sprayin' in my face so i pull the covers over my head to ignore the mess. the covers quickly ripped off of me and i am sprayed down with silly string that stinks like a mug. i am quikcly pulled out of my bed and am allowed to take care of some stuff before they stick me in a car. we drive to ihop and low and behold there is big nate sitting at a table so we join the boy. then i look up and see brad, don & jody and think man i am glad they get to see me in all my glory, they just looked in my general direction with looks of "whats going on?" austin, ryan, kelsey & his friend all arive and i am filled with joy as i am surrounded by my most dearest friends...not all of them of course. but it was cool how God let those boys just happen to be there as well as my friend, dane...wahoo! anyway, we enjoyed some pancakes and i got showered with a couple of gifts. and chavon made me te take a shot of half n half which i didn't mind at all because as a little girl i use to drink it like i would regular milk or what not so i actually liked it. so my friends are incrediable and i am 21! okay now i must climb back in bed...new sheets and all! but i leave you with a couple of things first:

lessons learned at 3am:
-silly string stinks really bad, have a practice shot somewhere where if it sprays nasty it won't ruin anything
-nate does not make as good of strawberry half n half drink as joe
-my friends really do love me
-you can make a napkin into a rose
-you don't always have to show skin to get mardi gras beads
-when your best friend ignores your calls all day it's because she is hiding something from you

Carrie, Emily, Chavon & Sarah: you girls are the most incrediable women of God and I am more than delighted to have ya'll in my life. thanks for everything you did for me.
Nate, Austin, & Kelsey: i am so glad i have gotten to know ya'll in the last few weeks because you are some great guys and having you in my life is so much fun (joe: you were missed greatly)
Tom Skerritt: thanks for being an actor that we could enjoy so much, if it wasn't for your wonderful movies the bond i have with this crew would not be the same. ("that tom skerritt's a riot"-griggs)

on another note...that makes two meetings for the LNPS (Late Nite Pancake Society)

my friends favorite jana sayings:
-"that was awkward" -carrie
-"good gravy" -sarah
-"shut your face" -nate
-"awkward" -emily
-and chavon loves my wisconsin accent

Jeffe, Jared & Zach(which one doesnt fit?) thanks for the birthday wishes!!!! (the correct answer is Z...for Zach)

it just became my birthday...

anywho! tonight i went to dinner with carrie & emily, which was way fun! i love those girls like crazy. this waitor was cleaning the table next to us and lifted up and hit his head on the light and i laughed for a good five minutes, and i mean a good hearty laugh. i couldn't seem to stop myself, it was cuz i was crunk. after dinner we were driving over to emilys house and emiyl slammed on the breaks for no apparent reason so i took this 'i am scared' picture and it's now the picture that comes up on emilys phone, its cool! we went to coldstone and got some ice cream, at this point i was pretty stinkin' stuff so i didnt really eat a lot. after that it was off to AROC to get Chavon, ended up that the thing had just ended so we chatted to some people for a little while and then headed out. we didn't do anything after that so i didn't get to hang with chavon as i wish i could have, but thats okay because well she is hangin' with joe and he's incrediable so i approve.

well its my birthday, and i dont have anything planned as far as celebrating it. i don't even know if i will celebrate to tell you the truth. in the morning i am celebrating with breakfast at my aunt & uncles, then i have to go to kinkos and hang with katie for a bit. eventually i will make it to island party, but at some point i think i might have to go chill at the library and print out articles for a paper that i have due on monday...stupid school! i am getting real sick of school right now, but only 3 more weeks left...i think i can survive. well signin' off...

So I had my first final this morning, I think I did pretty good. But I lost a lot of sleep last night and well I have a final tomorrow too so I am about to loose even more sleep. Because of all the stress I ended up getting really sick to my stomach tonight and had to leave Sugar Brown's to come home, dang it tummy! I know something is wrong with me because well I just realized all I ate today was a breakfast burrito, half a slice of pizza and some ice cream at work. This is coming from a girl who eats 4-5meals a day. What's wrong with me?! And believe it or not, I am not the least bit hungry. I bet I will wake up and be absolutely starving. So my mom sent a cookie bouqet to me and I got it today while I was working, everyone was so jealous and it made me soooo happy. I have the best mom in the entire world!!!! All I wanna do is crawl in my mommy's lap right now and let her love on me, b/c I hate being sick to my tummy and all I want to feel is loved and well my books aren't showing me that at all. I am not looking forward to my birthday which is kind of sad for me b/c it's normally a really big deal to me. Anyway, the tummy hurts and the books need me so I gotta go...but just thought I'd enter a soap box as some like to call it!

So I drove past the petting zoo again and yet again I still get as excited as the first time I saw it, but still a no go on going. I mean seriously it's the simple things in life that give me the most excitement. Tonight I got to study with Chavon & Dave, I love gettin' that hang time in even if it was only to study. I think my mom is up to something, and I will find out today if she is. She kept asking me my schedule and junk, she's crazy! I had like three thousand things I was gonna say and now that I am writing I can't think of one...crazy me! I have two finals this week and the stress is only getting bigger and bigger and on that know I better go study or I am gonna end up hating myself when I get my grade back...until then, good day to you!

I went with Kelsey & Emily to the Matt Wertz & Dave Barnes concert tonight and it was good. The guy that opened caused me to have fatigue, but it's no biggy. Dave cracked me up as he always does! Right as Dave was starting his song 'Nothing Fancy' Kelsey made me laugh and yes my laugh stood out above the crowd, I got so embarassed and dug my head into Will's shoulder. Me & Emily had to leave early to get some food in our tummy's, although I had already eaten 4 meals today I was still hungry. And sadly enough I could eat again right now. So we went to Chili's and ate dinner, I ate more chips tonight then I think I've eaten in my entire life. That's a big crazy! After dinner, I had one of my fears come true on me...that's right the tanning bed I was in closed completely to where there was no air coming in, so I had to prop it with my foot. Now I just admitted to the world that I tan, but I gotta get a tan for this wedding I am gonna be in because lavender on white skin won't look good. Second fear that is much like that is getting stuck in the freezer at work, although it doesn't lock I still fear it. Okay, so ya'll know a lot of my fears now...don't use those against me!

Today I was driving to work and I was passing K-mart when I saw what looked to be a petting zoo. I saw two camels and a zebra and I won't lie...I GOT ECSTATIC! I thought to myself man I wish I could go there instead of work, and I immediately wanted to call Sarah who was directly behind me to tell her how excited I was but I realized my cell phone was still laying on my bed. And that's right the petting zoo was still there when I was driving home from work and I wanted to stop so bad, but I didn't want to go alone. Ya, let's go ahead and bring up this fear of being alone issue. I can't seem to get over it and sometimes it is a damper on my social life. So say I know some friends of mine are at Sugar Brown's perhaps, but I have no reason to be going there except to be seeing them then if no one is going with me I won't go. This happens in many situations too. It happens even if I just wanna go somewhere and I know that a crowd might be there, I don't wanna show up alone. I am trying to overcome this fear and so occasionally I force myself to go alone all the while hating every minute of it. So thus far I've done three things to overcome the fear...1) Went to Nate's basketball game. But I stayed on the phone the entire time until Chavon & Joe got there then I sat down with them. And if I didn't go I would have missed out on an oppurtunity to kick it at IHOP with those guys. 2) Went to Kelsey's concert, sat int he back by myself and survived. And if I wouldn't have gone then I would have missed out on an amazing weekend. 3) I went to Kelsey's house for a party. And well I had fun! Obviously it pays off to go these places alone, but for some reason I still fear that entire being alone thing. Needless to say, through all of this I finally figured out my love language which I thought I never would. I was discussing it with Lauren and she was like "all those are yours", but I think that my biggest one is quality time while all the rest sure do come in rather close behind. Yep, thats its for today's random post.

Things I miss or things I love:
-laying in the bed of my truck in high school with blankets and pillows gallore talking to my best friend while we looked up at the stars and forgot about life for a minute or two
-laying on a blanket this summer at the Lubbock "lakes" while enjoying a good talk with my best friend
-listening to someone play the guitar as I enjoy nature
-late night, deep conversations with someone at a coffee shop
-driving around singing at the top of my lungs with someone who sucks just as bad as me
-going to Ransom Canyon to look at the lights
-enjoying late night walks at the park
-playing at the park with a good friend, then trading off on piggy back rides
-going to the lake and layign in matt's truck just talking
-playing games with my Grandma, telling her I love her all the time

P.S. I canceled my birthday this year. As many of you know, my birthday is rather important to me. But this year too many other things are going on so I decided to cancel my birthday for the year...

Easter in my shoes! So let's just let you know how sad it was for me to have to spend Easter with out my mommy. First and foremost I went to 930 and I kept crying occasionally because I would think about how I was alone at church while most were with their families and I just wanted to be with mine. Then I cried because I wanted "granddads" deviled eggs. On the way home I cried because I was going to be spending Easter lunch by myself on my couch probably watching Mary Poppins. My cousin came home and asked me what I was doing and I told her how I had been crying, and then I pulled the blanket over my head and cried some more as I watch Happy Gilmore to cheer me up. But then after a little persuasion from my cousin I decided to join the other end of her family for lunch. It was kind of awkward at first, ate lunch with all of her cousins none of which I know. It was dead silent through our meal and I said a couple of things to break the ice, they laughed but still no one talked. Finally for dessert the girls opened up a little and we started talking, yay I had broken the ice!!! We talked just a bit then they had to go because they were going to see a movie...so I decided it was time for me to head home too. So that's my Easter. I was hoping it would have been a little better, I wish it would have been spent with Sarah. But Sarah went to Ashley's and I didn't feel like going because I don't know Ashley and I just thought that was awkward. I was also hoping for an Easter egg hunt, but I guess that was a stupid idea because well it didn't happen. I called my mom and talked to her for half an hour, I feel a little better now but not as good as I wish considering it's a holiday.

Memories I miss about Easter:
1. The Easter Basket-filled with exciting gifts and mucho candy!
2. The Family- sititng in the livign room digging through the baskets, then going to church together in our new easter outfits, then eating a yummy meal with my family
3. Being with the mom- I miss sitting with her on the couch and giving her huge hugs in the kitchen, I miss lovin' on my mommy
4. The deviled eggs-my Granddad makes the most incrediable deviled eggs and he colors them according to the holiday, ever since he passed away I have made my mom make them Granddaddy style
